Being a working mom is pretty hard. You therefore need self-love and to pamper yourself occasionally, more so on your birthday.

Your birthday is a big deal and if you are a book lover, a new addition to your collection feels fantastic. Add a new copy for your library to appreciate yourself.
You do not need to buy a new expensive one. There are thrift shops with second-hand cheap books that are equally great.

Because why not! Treat yourself to your favorite meal because it is your birthday. You can have it delivered to your home or office or you can eat out for dinner with your spouse or family at your local favorite restaurant.
A dinner out is not necessarily expensive but the experience is amazing for personal and family memories. It is also a nice way to appreciate yourself.

Most women, if not all love flowers. They bring so much satisfaction by smelling and looking at them. For me, it feels so nice to wake up and see them on the bedside table.
They are simple and cheap too, perfect as an occasional treat for yourself especially on your birthday. You can cut the cost further by buying several bunches and arranging them yourself.

With press-on nails, they are simple and save time as you don’t have to go to the salon. They are also fun as you can experiment with them such as painting on them. Also there are so many varieties of press on nails like the glitter ones, flowery, etc.
If press-on nails are not your thing, you can treat yourself to new nail polish. Nail polishes are equally cheap and simple because you can paint the nails yourself. They are affordable and can last even up to two weeks, the perfect treat for working moms.
8. Buy your Favorite Candles
Candles and fragrances do not need to be expensive yet are such a good self care idea to appreciate yourself on special days. Some local stores have some very good and affordable fragrance candles that will blow your mind.
Personally, candles just make me feel happy and more relaxed. I usually prefer sandalwood or sage/lemon fragrances. I also love oatmeal cookie and maximum autumn scents (pumpkin/cinnamon/sweater weather).
9. Treat yourself to a Fancy Bath Wash/ Bath Bombs
Nothing beats a refreshing bath wash for a working mom. It is a very simple treat but very valuable that all working moms will appreciate on their special day such as birthday. Include a face scrub or mask while you are at, it creates small memories of self-love.
In addition, you can experiment with some makeup. I have several friends who love a nice shower and having some fun with makeup as a treat for special days.

Treat yourself to a movie on your birthday. Catch on the latest movie at your local cinema alone but it is more fun with your friends or partner. Tickets are very affordable yet the experience is irreplaceable. This is how memories are made.

Chocolate is every woman’s favorite. But you do not have to wait to only get chocolate as a gift from your partner. Treat yourself by exploring the different brands of chocolates there are on your birthday. You will get some inexpensive chocolate that you don’t have to pay an arm and a leg for.

Ideas for Getting the Best Birthday Treat for Working Moms
- Food- smoothie, peanut butter cups, fries, etc., or any of your comfort food. Something you would not have every day but which makes you feel so good. You will always remember that day you eat them as a treat.
- Drink- wine, beer, kombucha – particularly good when craving a drink, but need it healthy
- Clothes- a pretty bra, panties, fuzzy socks,
- Books – novels, reference books such as cookbooks, comic books
- Crafts- stickers, art supplies, cute stamps, postcards- collecting them is really satisfying. Also using them as bookmarks is beautiful
- Small pieces of stationery -folder, pretty pens
- Cosmetics and makeup- lipstick, earnings, eyeliner, lip gloss
- Toys- cheap yet sparks special joy because they are so cute and squishy. They make such a nice collection.
